Pay your dues
The ways to pay your chapter, the payment methods you can use, and what happens after you pay.
You can pay your chapter's charges in the MyGreek web app, in the MyGreek mobile app, or on pay.mygreek.us with a member code. A parent or anyone else can pay for you on pay.mygreek.us without a MyGreek account.
Ways to pay
| Where | Who it's for | How to start |
|---|---|---|
| MyGreek web app | Members | Log in, open My Balance, and select Make Payment. |
| MyGreek mobile app | Members | Log in and pay from your balance screen. |
| pay.mygreek.us | Members, parents, anyone paying for a member | Open your payment link (pay.mygreek.us/ followed by your 6-character member code), or go to pay.mygreek.us and enter the code. |
Your payment link is in the bills and reminders your chapter sends. In the web app, open My Balance and select Share (on a phone: Share Payment Link) to copy the link and send it to a parent. See Pay for a member as a parent or family member.
Pay in the web app
- Open My Balance and select Make Payment.
- Choose the charge or charges you want to pay. If you choose one charge, you can enter a smaller amount to pay part of it.
- Choose a payment method, or add a new one.
- Check the amount, the convenience fee and the total, then select Confirm Payment.
Payment methods
- Card: a credit or debit card. You enter the card number, expiration date, security code (CVC) and billing ZIP code.
- Bank account: you connect your bank through Plaid.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay: shown in the web app when your device and browser support them. On pay.mygreek.us, Apple Pay is offered on supported Apple devices.
Cards and bank accounts you add while logged in are saved for next time.
Convenience fees
If your chapter passes processing costs on to members, a Convenience Fee line appears on the confirm screen before you pay, and the Total includes it. Card fees are higher than bank fees, and bank fees have a cap. If your chapter covers the fee, it shows $0.00. For current rates, see Fees.
If you pay in full before your chapter's early-pay deadline, an Early Pay Discount line may also appear.
Payment limits
- The smallest payment is $0.50.
- You can't pay more than a charge's outstanding amount.
- Each chapter has a maximum amount per payment. If you go over it, the screen shows the limit. Pay part now and the rest in a second payment.
- Some charges are paid to a different account than your chapter's main one. The payment screen marks them, and they must be paid in a separate payment.
What happens after you pay
- Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay: the payment goes through right away and your balance updates. You get an email with your receipt attached.
- Bank account: when you confirm, you authorize a one-time ACH debit. It is sent to your bank by the next business day, and you can't cancel it after you confirm. If your bank later returns the payment, the amount goes back on your balance.
- If someone else pays for you, you get an email about their payment too.
Your past payments are listed under Payments on My Balance, and each one has a receipt you can download.
