Cancel a payment plan
Stop future plan payments, and what you owe afterward.
You can cancel your own payment plan at any time in the MyGreek web app, the mobile app or pay.mygreek.us. A parent or someone else paying for you can cancel the plan they pay at pay.mygreek.us. Canceling stops all future scheduled payments. It can't be undone.
Canceling a plan doesn't cancel what you owe. The rest of your balance stays on the charge, and you need to pay it some other way.
Before you start
- If you only want to pay with a different card, you don't need to cancel. See Change the card on a payment plan.
- If a parent pays your plan and you cancel it, their scheduled payments stop and you're responsible for the remaining balance.
- A plan that covers several charges is canceled as a whole.
Steps in the web app
- Go to My Balance. On the Payment Plans card, select View My Plans.
- Select the plan, then select Cancel Plan.
- Select Cancel Plan again to confirm, or Keep Plan to go back.
Steps in the mobile app
- Open the Plans tab and tap the plan.
- Tap Cancel Payment Plan and confirm.
Steps for parents on pay.mygreek.us
- Go to pay.mygreek.us, enter the member's code and log in with the code sent to your phone.
- Select Continue to payment plans, then select the plan.
- Select Cancel Plan, then Cancel Plan again to confirm.
What happens next
- No more payments are taken under the plan. Payments already made stay on your account. They aren't refunded.
- The person paying gets a "Payment Plan Canceled" email. If a parent paid the plan, the member is emailed too.
- Your remaining balance is due as normal. If your chapter skips late fees only for members on an approved payment plan, late fees can apply again once the plan is canceled. See How late fees work.
- You can pay the balance or set up a new plan. See Set up a payment plan.
Common questions
Can I withdraw a plan that is still waiting for approval?
Yes. Open it and cancel it the same way. Nothing was charged.
Can I change the payment dates instead of canceling?
Not on an approved plan. Cancel it and set up a new plan with the dates you want.
