Sell merch with the store
Set up products and variants, share your store link, see purchases and message buyers.
With the MyGreek store, your chapter can sell merch, tickets or anything else online at its own link, store.mygreek.us/your-store. Anyone can buy with a card or bank account, including members, parents and people outside MyGreek. Only chapter admins can manage the store. Every plan includes it, Free too.
Get a store for your chapter
The Store item shows in the web menu once your chapter has a store set up. If you don't see it, email support@mygreek.us and ask us to set up your store.
Set up your store
- In Store, select Settings.
- Enter a Store Slug. This is the end of your store link: for example,
txst-fijigives store.mygreek.us/txst-fiji. Use only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. No two stores can have the same slug. - Pick a Primary Color and upload a Store Logo.
- Choose a Processing Fee Passthrough setting:
- Enabled: buyers always pay the processing fees.
- Disabled: buyers don't pay the processing fees. Your chapter does.
- Optional: each buyer chooses whether to cover the processing fees.
- Turn on Store Enabled and select Save Settings.
While Store Enabled is off, nobody can buy from your store.
Add a product and its variants
A product is the item, like "Formal T-shirt". Variants are the versions people buy, like sizes or colors. Each variant has its own price and inventory. A product needs at least one variant before anyone can buy it.
- In Store, on the Products tab, select Add Product.
- Enter a Title, the end of its Product URL, a Description, and an image.
- Leave Active on to show the product in your store, then select Save.
- The product opens with Add Variant. Enter the variant's Name (for example "Large / Navy") and its Price.
- Set Inventory. Leave it empty for unlimited stock.
- Select Save & Add Another to add the next size or color, or Save when you're done.
Each variant also has these options:
- Custom amount: buyers enter their own amount, at least $1. Useful for donations.
- Customizable: buyers can add a note, such as a name to print on a shirt.
- Default variant: the variant shown first.
- Active: turn it off to stop selling that variant.
To change a product, open it and select Edit Product. You can delete a product only if it hasn't sold anything. If it has, turn off Active to hide it.
Share your store
Your store's link is store.mygreek.us/your-slug. Each product also has its own link, store.mygreek.us/your-slug/product.
On a product's page in Store, two buttons help you share it:
- View store page opens the product's link.
- QR code shows a code people can scan, for example at a table or on a flyer.
They only show when the store is enabled and the product is active.
See purchases
The Purchases tab lists every sale with these columns:
- Date
- Customer Name, Customer Email and Phone
- Product, Variant and Customization
- Qty and Total
- Bank Fee: the processing fee your chapter covered
Search by name or email, or select Export CSV to download the list. Each product's page has the same list for just that product, plus Units Sold, Total Revenue and inventory.
MyGreek doesn't track shipping or pickup. Keep track of who has their order yourself, for example in the exported CSV.
Message your buyers (Send Blast)
Send Blast sends a message to people who have bought from your store. It doesn't go to your whole roster.
- In Store, select Send Blast. To message one product's buyers, open the product and select Send Blast there.
- Choose a Product and Variant, or keep All Products. Select Continue.
- Pick a starting template (New Product, Back in Stock or Sale), or write your own. Type
/to add the buyer's First Name or your Store Link. - Under Delivery Channels, choose Email, SMS or both.
- Slide to send.
The email's subject is "Message from" followed by your chapter's name. Texts use your chapter's SMS segments; see SMS segments.
What buyers receive
After paying, the buyer gets a receipt email titled "Your [chapter] Store Purchase". It lists:
- what they bought, and any customization note
- the subtotal, any bank fee, and the total
- the card or bank account they paid with
- a transaction ID
Where the money goes
Store sales are paid out to your chapter's payout account, together with your chapter's other payments. In a payout's breakdown, each sale is listed by product and variant. See See what's in a payout.
The store on the mobile app
In the app's Admin tab, Store has Products, Purchases and Settings tabs. From your phone you can add products and variants, see purchases, share a product and send a blast.
Common questions
Can I refund a store purchase?
Store purchases don't have a refund button. Email support@mygreek.us with the buyer's name and the transaction ID from their receipt.
Can people outside the chapter buy?
Yes. Anyone with the link can buy. They enter their name and email, and can add a phone number. When a member of your chapter buys, the purchase links to their profile.
Why can't I delete a product?
You can't delete a product that has sold anything, so your purchase history stays complete. To hide it instead, open Edit Product and turn off Active.
